Chr. Hansen appoints new CFO



Chr. Hansen has appointed Søren Westh Lonning as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and member of the executive board which includes CEO Cees de Jong and executive vice-president Knud Vindfeldt.


His appointment will be effective from August 1, 2015.


"Lonning has a strong financial background from national as well as international positions, a great knowledge of Chr. Hansen and its products, and broad leadership experience, all competencies that are well suited to the job as CFO," de Jong said.


Lonning is currently Chr. Hansen's managing director for South West Europe as well as vice-president (finance) for the EMEA region.

During 2007-2013, he had served as the company's vice-president for business finance and sourcing, finance director for the Cultures & Enzymes and Health & Nutrition Divisions, and director of corporate development.

Before joining Chr. Hansen, Lonning was an investment manager at Axcel Private Equity and an associate at McKinsey & Co.

He holds a Master of Science in finance and accounting from the Copenhagen Business School.
