House of David prepares new plant after holdup

House of David, a kosher chicken processor, is beginning preparations for a new plant in Tulare, California, that was suggested many years ago, according to the media.

Tulare Economic Director Bob Nance said that city officials had had a successful meeting with representatives from House of David, but that plans for the proposed building will have to be resubmitted because building codes have changed.

House of David originally proposed building a 50,000-square-foot facility that would process 43,000 birds per day. Plans were to ship products produced at the plant to the Los Angeles area.
