Ukraine's Ukrzaliznytsia exports 3.69 million tonnes of grain in H1
Ukraine's state rail operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, transported 5.743 million tonnes of grain cargo in the first six months of 2011, including 3.69 million tonnes of grain supplied to foreign markets.
Over the same period last year, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 5.68 million tonnes, including 4.34 million tonnes for export, the State Railway Administration of Ukraine has said in a statement.
According to the statement, as of July 5, there were 3,054 grain carriers loaded with grain at port stations, ports and grain elevators.
The main types of grain cargo are wheat, barley, corn, rapeseed, and sunflower seeds.
