Chile's pork imports rise 65% in January-May 2021
Chile's pork imports have increased by 65% during January-May 2021.
According to data published in the June meat bulletin by Odepa, in the first five months of this year, Chilean pork imports totaled 61,235 tonnes, which is higher than imports in the same period (37,122 tonnes) last year.
Exports also increased by 9%, with a total of 119,463 tonnes of pork and offal exported.
During the January-April period, production was 191,318 tonnes, a 1.3% increase from the same period in 2020.
