Merial Appoints Pig Business Manager, UK and Ireland

 
Merial Animal Health has announced the appointment of Nick Munce as pig business development and technical manager for the UK and Ireland.

Brian Rice, head of marketing & technical for production animals, said, "He will be working closely with vets and producers to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to support our key products which target diseases including PCV2 and swine influenza."Nick moves from his role as business manager for Igenity, Merial's company providing DNA services to the UK cattle industry. Prior to this role, Munce was senior territory manager for Merial in Northern Ireland, and launched Circovac during his time in that role. Merial was one of the first companies to manufacture a PCV2 vaccine and the only company to offer a swine influenza vaccine in the UK.

Meriden announces Global Aqua Sales Manager 

 
Meriden announces the appointment of Maarten Jay van Schoonhoven as global aqua sales manager, in line with Meriden's focus on the aquaculture sector after becoming part of the Anpario PLC group.
 
Maarten will continue, under the Meriden identity, to work with Aquatice - the product developed by Kiotech International - in addition to developing and supporting the Orego-Stim® Aqua and Phyconomix product ranges. Meriden is currently developing new products for the aquaculture sector.
 
Maarten is currently based in Bangkok and oversees operations in Southeast Asia's dynamic aquaculture sector. Maarten is also fluent Spanish, which will be an advantage in overseeing Central South America, which is another fast growing aquaculture market.
 

Maarten has been with the group since 2009 and has considerable technical and commercial experience from around the world. He holds two master of science degrees in Biology and Aquaculture respectively. 
 


Guerrero named Dairy Specialist of Diamond V, South America

               
Diamond V's Latin America office announced the appointment of Vicente Guerrero as dairy specialist, who will be responsible for providing technical support to dairy customers in Latin America, from his base in Querétaro, Mexico.
 
Guerrero recently held positions as a dairy specialist for Pfizer and worked as an independent consultant in Mexico's Querétaro state.  He earned his doctorate of veterinary medicine at Universidad Autonoma de Quéretaro.
 
Headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA, Diamond V, is a supplier of nutritional fermentation products used to optimize digestive and nutritional productivity in livestock and aquaculture, thereby improving animal performance and farm profitability.
