Indonesia unlikely to reissue live cattle export permits to Australia
The biggest cattle importer of Indonesia says that the country will not probably issue once more live export permits of cattle to Australia.
Quarterly permits expired yesterday for both cattle and frozen beef shipments.
Bruce Warren, from Sentori, says applications won't be processed until the trade resumes.
"With the trade being closed as it is, nobody is really going to apply for permits because we know that there's no point. The department here won't actually issue new permits because there is no trade, so I think, no point," Warren said.
