Ukraine's grain traders export almost 12 million tonnes of grain

 

 

Since the start of the year, Ukraine's grain traders have exported 11.950 million tonnes of grain, with carry-over stocks of grain at about 7.5 million tonnes, Director General of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC), Serhiy Stoyanov, said on Thursday (Jun 29).

 

"We exported 11.950 million tonnes of grain till June 29. This month, 1.340 million tonnes were exported: wheat - over 600,000 tonnes; barley - over 240,000 tonnes; corn - over 460,000 tonnes," he said.

 

In his conviction, over the last day of June, it will be possible to sell another 250,000 tonnes of grain.

 

Analysts forecasted that in the 2011-12 marketing year, Ukraine will be able to supply about 18.3 million tonnes of grain to foreign markets, 54% up against exports in the current season.
