China Hog: Prices dive 65% in H1 2021 (week ended Jun 28, 2021)


As hog farmers hastened releases amid fears that prices might tumble further, increased supply of pork in the market in addition to high imports exerted pressure on prices. Falling to levels unseen since March 2019, hog prices have plunged 65% during the first half of 2021.
