China Trace Minerals: Limited feed output curtails demand (week ended Jun 27, 2022)

An eFeedLink Exclusive

Limited hog feed production impeded the sales of trace mineral products, prompting producers to negotiate prices.

Copper sulphate export prices softened to US$2.88/kg. Transact prices were weaker in the range of RMB19-19.30/kg in China.

Export prices and local transact prices of ferrous sulphate were lower at US$0.29/kg and RMB1.94-2.40/kg respectively.

For zinc sulphate, export prices fell to US$1.23/kg while local transact prices slid in the range of RMB8-8.24/kg.

Meanwhile, zinc oxide export prices weakened to US2.95/kg, whereas local transact prices dipped to the range of RMB19-19.70/kg.

While export prices dropped to US$0.64/kg, manganese sulphate decreased to the range of RMB4.29-4.60/kg in China.

Hog feed sales will be limited due to diminished inventories. Trace mineral markets will remain soft in the near term.
