Russia's 2014 meat exports seen up to 130,000 tonnes

 

 

Russia will possibly export 130,000 tonnes of meat in 2014 and 405,000 tonnes of meat in 2020, up from 15,000 tonnes in 2010, according to the Russian Meat Union on Thursday (Jun 30).

 

Of the total meat exports projected for 2014, poultry is expected to amount to 100,000 tonnes, while pork is to amount to 30,000 tonnes.

 

Of the total exports projected for 2020, poultry is to amount to around 200,000 tonnes, pork also to around 200,000 tonnes.

 

In May, Russia's Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik said that Russia planned to export a total of up to 600,000 tonnes of meat products by 2020.
