China Corn Weekly: High reserves corn prices strengthen spot market (ended Jun 26, 2020)

While the auction prices of state reserves corn were high, the spot corn market strengthened in view of tight availability and firm demand. Corn prices increased at a faster pace as traders who had limited stocks withheld releases.
Corn prices are expected to stay strong with spot supply scarce and the costs of state reserves grains high. Should China's corn harvest fall below expectations during Q3, corn prices are set to rise prominently due to inadequate supply.
