Vietnam's exports of agriculture, forestry, seafood soars in H1

 

 

Vietnam is estimated to have earned US$2.1 billion from exports of agricultural, forestry, and seafood products in June, bringing the total value of exports for the first half of the year to US$12 billion, or 38.7% higher from a year earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said.

 

Of the H1 revenues, exports of agricultural products accounted for US$7 billion, 2.9% higher than the previous year, while those of seafood and forestry products rose 28% and 16.8% to US$2.6 billion and US$1.9 billion respectively.

 

The ministry did not give detailed figures on each export staple.

 

Vietnam's exports of agricultural, forestry, and seafood products in 2011 are expected to surpass the revised target of US$23 billion.
