Several Vietnam provinces manage to control blue ear disease

Many provinces across Vietnam have successfully controlled blue ear disease, according to the Veterinary Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The northern Thai Nguyen province, the Central Highlands Lam Dong province and the southern Vinh Long province have declared they are blue ear disease-free after having no new outbreaks for the past three weeks.

Only the two southern provinces of Bac Lieu and Soc Trang are still struggling with the disease.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has signed an official dispatch requesting locals in the Mekong River Delta and southeastern provinces to strictly inspect breeding grounds and slaughterhouses to promptly detect any possible outbreaks as part of an effort to continue preventive measures.
