48-hour suspension of pork market activities imposed in Nachong, Sichuan, China



Local pork trading markets in Nanbu county, Nanchong, China's Sichuan province, will be closed for a period of 48 hours from 12am onwards on June 29 to quarantine against African swine fever, Nanbu's government announced on June 27.


Affected places, including slaughterhouses, will also be disinfected, according to an official WeChat notification.


According to Nanbu's official WeChat account, local trade of pork had been suspended for 48 hours in March 2021, May and October in 2020 and August in 2019.
