Vietnam spends US$1.16 billion on feed import

 

 

Vietnam is forecast to have spent US$1.155 billion on shipping animal feed and material between January and June, according to the General Statistics Office.

 

The figure represented an on year decrease of 1%, the office said.

 

In June, the country bought animal feed and materials for its production worth US$180 million compared to US$210 million in the previous month.

 

Last year, Vietnam imported US$2.7 billion of raw materials to make animal feed, compared to US$2.1 billion in 2009.

 

The country is expected to import about US$3 billion of raw materials for animal feed this year.
