Estonian average beef purchase price increases in May

Estonian's average purchase price of beef was EUR1.815/kg (US$ 2.59) last month in contrast to EUR1.729 (US$2.47) in April and EUR1.72/kg (US$2.45) during the same period last year.

The average purchase price of pork was EUR1.692/kg (US$2.42) this May, EUR1.635/kg (US$2.34) in April and EUR1.47/kg (US$2.10) last May.

This May meat-packers bought 30,200 pigs, 2,600 head of cattle and 300 goats and sheep.
