Russia's meat and byproducts output rises in May

Russia's meat and byproducts output rose 3.3 % to 96,600 tonnes in May compared with a year earlier, the Federal State Statistics Service said.

Output of beef dropped 14.4% to 13,700 tonnes, and pork output grew 7.8% to 66,600 tonnes, said the service, also known as Rosstat.

Output of poultry and its byproducts rose 10.7% to 251,000 tonnes in May compared to last year, it said.
