Ample availability holds China methionine market soft
Prices of methionine were weak during the week ending June 14.
Methionine demand was soft after the Dragon Boat Festival holidays as feed millers withheld buying in anticipation of weaker poultry feed sales. With supplies abundant, traders were willing to negotiate prices in a case-by-case basis.
For liquid methionine, price quotes were unchanged in the range of RM24.50-26/kg.
