Russia to harvest 85 million tonnes of grain this year
Russia can reap 85 million tonnes of grain this year if conditions are positive, according to the Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik on Thursday (Jun 9).
Skrynnik said this volume of harvest would fulfill local demand and also allow for export potential.
On Wednesday (Jun 8), the Russia Grain Union said its forecast for 2011-12 crop year harvest was 80-93 million tonnes of grain.
