Tyson's Nebraska beef plant unaffected by flood

Tyson Fresh Meats (TSN) beef plant in Dakota City, Nebraska, will resume operations on Tuesday (Jun 7), according to the company spokesman Gary Mickelson.

An official of Tyson Fresh Meats said the company's beef plant in northeast Nebraska is not at risk of the anticipated Missouri River flooding. However, the plant was closed on Saturday (Jun 4) and Monday (Jun 6) to allow employees to address any personal property issues faced from flooding in the region from the Missouri River.

Tyson's Dakota City plant is located about a mile from the Missouri River, just south of Sioux City, Iowa.
