Bell's Zimbo to shift production from Steinheim to Bad Wünnenberg

The Bell Group company Zimbo (Germany) is concentrating its convenience sector activities: starting this October, production will be relocated from the manufacturing plant in Steinheim to Bad Wünnenberg, where Hoppe GmbH was acquired at the beginning of the year.

Hoppe GmbH has modern production facilities and adequate expansion space into which the Zimbo plant and equipment will be integrated. All Zimbo employees currently working at the Steinheim operation will be offered jobs in nearby Bad Wünnenberg.

Production relocation will commence on October 1 and will be completed by the end of 2011. Zimbo and Hoppe will remain separate brands. The merger of the two manufacturing plants will create a Bell Group competence centre for convenience products at the Bad Wünnen-berg location, and will allow Zimbo to exploit its growth potential in this segment.
