During a recent seminar in Jakarta, Indonesia, ADDCON and its local distributor, NOVINDO, launched AQUAFORM, a sustainable growth promoter for the aquaculture industry.
The one-day seminar took place at the Santika BSD hotel at BSD City, Jakarta. Close to 40 participants from leading feed mills as well as farmers participated and learned about the sustainable options available to the industry.
The event opened with a presentation on non-antibiotic growth promoters in aquaculture, held by Dr Abadi Soetisna, followed by presentations by Dr Christian Lückstädt, the technical director of ADDCON's feed business, on the use of organic acids in tropical aquaculture.
While Dr Soetisna's presentation gave an in-depth view into state-of-the-art R&D activities concerning dietary organic acids in modern aquaculture, Dr Lückstädt focused on the use of potassium diformate (specifically AQUAFORM), ADDCON's patented double salt and its employment in tropical fish and shrimp productions, backed by Indonesian data.
"AQUAFORM will help the industry in the post-antibiotic era," Dr Lückstädt said. "Global and local demand for sustainable farmed fish and shrimp is a fact. We can help the aquaculture industry to fulfill this demand."
ADDCON's AQUAFORM is widely used in fish and shrimp aquacultures worldwide, mainly in Southeast Asia, South Asia and South America.
