Pork demand remained firm in the southern parts of China due to the preparation for Dragon Boat Festival, but softened considerably in the north. For instance, pork carcass sales remained flat in Shanghai but plunged over 7% in the wholesale markets of Beijing. Overall, pork carcass sales dipped 2.49% over the week.
