Cargill unveiled a US$12.5 million expansion investment of its Mason City, Iowa facility with about US$2 million to be spent with local suppliers and contractors during the construction phase.
"We have a tremendous workforce in Mason City, and we are very pleased to invest additional resources in the community," said Troy Swanson, Mason City Plant Manager for Cargill Kitchen Solutions. "As we made final expansion decisions, we appreciated the support of the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation, as well as local and state officials."
Work on the expansion will begin this summer and the expansion will be fully operational by Spring 2012.
