Weak trends prevail in China methionine market
Prices of methionine moved lower during the week ending June 2.
As methionine prices failed to stabilise while the poultry markets stayed weak, traders who were more eager to release inventories cut prices further in a bid to clear stocks.
Price quotes for locally produced methionine stayed in the range of RMB40-40.50/kg.
China imported 14,028 tonnes of methionine during April, inching down 0.70% compared with the previous month.
China's methionine market will be under pressure.
