China Choline Chloride: Prices move lower (week ended May 29, 2023)

Dwindling sow inventories hampered the sales of choline chloride. Producers who were eager to close deals cut prices, albeit marginally.

Export prices of 50% choline chloride and 60% products softened to US$0.57/kg and US$0.62/kg respectively while those of 70-75% liquid products fell to US$0.72/kg.

In China, transacted prices of 50% choline chloride dipped to the range of RMB4.05-4.50/kg and those of 60% choline chloride decreased to RMB4.37/kg. Prices of 70%-75% liquid products dropped to RMB5.08/kg.

Sales of choline chloride are poised to remain slow amid limited hog feed consumption. Choline chloride producers will be under pressure to cut prices in the near term.
