CP Foods closes poultry factory after workers found infected with COVID-19
Charoen Pokphand Foods had closed one of its factories in Thailand for five days after several workers tested positive for COVID-19, the company announced on May 30.
The poultry processing plant in Saraburi province will be shut from May 30 onwards. Operations at CP Foods' 18 other food-processing and feed factories will continue, the company said.
Out of 5,800 workers at the affected plant, 245 have tested positive, while others are still waiting to be tested or receive test results, said the Saraburi provincial administration.
