China Broiler Weekly: Hybrid broiler prices halved in six weeks (week ended May 22, 2020)

Prices were sharply lower.


Demands for live chickens were tepid, sending prices of native broilers plunging amid excess supplies. Chick markets remained weak as farmers were reluctant to build inventories.


Hybrid broiler prices have fallen 47% in six weeks.


At current lows, the downward scope of native broilers markets will be limited.
