Chinese lysine producers cut prices to move sales

Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending May 26.

Demand for lysine showed little improvement as hog inventories were limited whereas soymeal prices dipped further to new lows. Consequently, lysine producers lowered price quotes substantially in a bid to stimulate buying over the week.

Average transacted price dropped RMB0.30/kg.

The upward scope of lysine market will be limited due to excess supplies.

RMB1=US$0.1612 (May 27)
