China methionine prices stay flat
Prices of methionine were stable to lower during the week ending May 16.
The demand for methionine showed little improvement as the broiler markets stayed weak. Several traders and distributors were therefore willing to give slight discounts on a case-by-case basis in efforts to move sales.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine fell to the range of RMB29-30/kg, lower by RMB0.50-1/kg.
