Weakened broiler market curbs China methionine demand

Prices of methionine fell slightly during the week ending May 9.

Post-May Day broiler market weakened considerably amid abundant availability, dampening the confidence of feed millers.

For liquid methionine, price quotes remained unchanged at RM22-23/kg.

Feed millers will continue to hold back procurements with the broiler market weak and piglet population limited.
