Methionine market stays soft despite limited availability in China
Prices of methionine moved lower during the week ending May 4.
Feed millers, who were extremely cautious, limited purchases in anticipation of slow feed demand during early May. Hence, traders continued to negotiate prices in efforts to entice buyers.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine slid to the range of RMB65-70/kg.
