China AA Broiler: Demand slower than expected (week ended Apr 29, 2024)

Sales of AA broiler were limited despite the approaching of May Day holiday. With demand falling below expectations, prices of AA broiler decreased 8% during April.

AA broiler prices slid 2.2% to RMB8.05/kg, compared with the previous week. Compared with a year ago, prices of AA broiler were lower by 21%.

Prices of AA chick decreased 10.8% to the range of RMB3.13/chick on average, with supply exceeding demand.

AA broiler market is projected to stay soft amid slow sales.
