China updates mandatory vaccination programmes 
  

 

The Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Finance had recently provided the masses with knowledge and guidance on the prevention of animal diseases such as highly pathogenic avian influenza, foot and mouth disease, blue-ear pig disease, swine fever, peste des petits ruminants (PPRV), and brucellosis, through the distribution of their 2016 mandatory vaccination programme plan.

 

Meanwhile, the Asia Pacific animal healthcare market was valued at US$8.3 billion last year. According to market research company, Future Market Insights, the market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.2% through to 2020. China, being the most lucrative country in the Asia Pacific animal healthcare market, is expected to expand at the fastest CAGR in Asia Pacific, and represents nearly 62% market share by 2020.
