Aviagen moving to new headquarters in Huntsville

Leading poultry breeder Aviagen is moving to a bigger office headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama, in the US, to keep pace with rapid growth, it has announced.

The new Aviagen world headquarters is a 27,000-square-foot office building, which will officially open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 12. It is 42% bigger than Aviagen's current offices, also in Hunstville. Aviagen said it moved into its current facility 20 years ago when it employed only around 1,000 people. Today, Aviagen has more than 3,600 employees worldwide.

With more conference and meeting room space, the new building, according to Aviagen, will enable it to host multiple and larger customer visits. The new building also boasts a modern fibre-based network infrastructure, with faster Internet connections.

"As demand for Aviagen brands increases and as we expand our footprint worldwide, we've found ourselves outgrowing our previous headquarters and needing more space to accommodate our needs today and years from now", Kevin McDaniel, president of Aviagen North America, said of the move.

McDaniel added that the new location is ideally closer to the Huntsville International Airport, hotels, additional offsite meeting spaces and a variety of restaurants, making it convenient to "host customers and partners more easily".
