Nutriad expects strong presence at APA 2016

Nutriad will be present at Asia Pacific Aquaculture 2016 (APA16), hosting various activities for professionals from the industry.

"Attendees will be able to understand how the Indonesian aquaculture industry managed to realise amazing growth and discuss aquaculture developments in the rest of Southeast Asia as well," said Allen Wu (pictured, right), Nutriad's regional manager for aquaculture in APAC, as well as board director of the organising World Aquaculture Society (Asia Pacific Chapter).

Nutriad selected APA16 as its platform for organising a number of technical seminars for its aqua distributors and customers.

"These seminars provide an excellent opportunity to our central and regional aqua team as well as our partners and customers in APAC to learn about current market developments and new findings regarding the application of our functional feed additives for fish and shrimp," stated Dr. Peter Coutteau (pictured, left), Nutriad's business unit director for aquaculture.

The customer event, upon invitation only, will feature updates presented by Nutriad product managers on aquaculture health and nutrition as well as an update on emerging shrimp diseases in Asia that will be presented by a renowned speaker from the University of Arizona, US.

Customers will have ample opportunity to learn more about the latest news on Nutriad's programmes for aquaculture additives (SANACORE®, AQUASTIM®, APEX® AQUA, BACTINIL® AQUA) that support the prevention of diseases and parasitic infections, as well as species-specific digestive / metabolic enhancers to reduce feed cost and improve performance in fish and shrimp (AQUAGEST®, AQUALYSO, LIPOGEST), and palatability enhancers and attractants to replace fishmeal and stimulate appetite (AQUABITE®).

At the scientific WAS conference, Nutriad will host two presentations.

On April 28, Alexander van Halteren, business development manager (Aquaculture Nutrition), will talk on "Cost efficient replacement of essential Lipids (Cholesterol, n-3 Hufa and Phospholipids) in practical grow out diets for white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) using different sources of purified bile salts".

Maria Mercè Isern Subich, business development manager (Aquaculture Health), will lecture on "The effect of a gut health modulator on productivity and profitability of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in cage farming".
