China lysine prices slide toward record low levels
Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending April 12.
Feed millers were reluctant to increase lysine stockpiles while hog feed consumption stayed weak amid limited animal inventories. Additionally, sliding soymeal prices, which hit nine-year lows, and ample availability of lysine further dampened the buying interest for the product.
Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were lower at RMB4.40-4.60/kg.
