CP Foods' shrimp farms in Thailand certified for being antibiotic-free

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) has attained certification for its antibiotic-free products, with seven of its shrimp farms in Thailand having been granted Antibiotic-Free Product Certification by SGS (Thailand) Company Limited, a global authority in inspection, testing and certification.

The milestone underscores the company' dedication to ensuring food safety and delivering top-tier shrimp products of exceptional quality to consumers worldwide.

Pairoj Apiruknusit, head of Integrated Aquaculture Business (Thailand) at CP Foods, said the company has set a new standard in shrimp farming by implementing advanced biosafety measures and innovative probiotic farming techniques. These methods enhance the natural health and immunity of shrimp, ensuring the production of premium, antibiotic-free products.

The seven CP Foods farms recognised for their commitment to antibiotic-free products include Kanchanadit Farm, SR1 Farm, SR4 Farm, Andaman Farm, Pak Phanang 1 Farm, Nakhon Farm and Ranot Farm. These farms play a critical role in supplying raw materials to CP Foods' Ranot food processing facility, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, water quality and environmental sustainability.

Apiruknusit said: "This certification not only validates our commitment to clean, sustainable and responsible farming practices but also strengthens consumer trust in our products. It enhances our competitiveness on the international stage, ensuring that CP Foods continues to be synonymous with quality and safety in the global food market."
