China's Yili signs MOU with Cornell University
China's largest manufacturer of dairy products, Yili Group has been gradually shifting its global network strategy towards cutting-edge research and development, having established the Yili European R&D Centre in Netherlands and signing a research memorandum of understanding with Lincoln University in New Zealand last year.
Earlier this month, the Chinese group signed anotherMOU with Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciencesin America. Under the MOU, both parties will focus on areas such as dairy cow cultivation, dairy and food products research and development, and cutting-edge technology in nutritional science.
Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences has one of the world's best agriculture programs, and this collaboration will greatly contribute to "developing cutting-edge research and technologies that improve production, processing and innovation of dairy products in China and the U.S", according to Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Dean Kathryn Boor.
