South Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will release big data on its official cattle traceability system collected since December 2018 to the public from April 6, The Korea Bizwire reported.
The ministry has tracked and managed livestock slaughter and distribution, while managing farm-raised cattle.
The ministry said the cattle traceability data can be used for research and analysis at private research institutes, universities, and businesses.
The data, which includes annual information on cattle breeding, birth, death, and slaughter, can also be used for farm consultation through cattle number projections and the creation of management strategies for related industries.
