Hendrix Genetics concludes Coolen Hatchery acquisition

 

Hendrix Genetics has concluded its agreement to purchase 100% of turkey distributor Coolen Hatchery, the largest turkey hatchery in the Netherlands.

This announcement follows a press release on October 26, 2015, in which Hendrix Genetics announced it would take a controlling interest in Coolen. 

Henk Coolen, managing director of Coolen Hatchery, will continue on with Hendrix Genetics for the coming years in support of Hendrix Genetics Turkeys activities in the Netherlands.  Future plans for the hatchery include the development of the traditional and bronze turkey markets.
