Cautious mood impedes sales of methionine in China
Prices of methionine were weaker during the week ending April 4.
Although methionine inventories have fallen to low levels, feed millers limited buying while the poultry market stayed weak.
Price quotes for locally produced methionine remained below RMB30/kg.
Feed production is expected to recover from annually low levels but at a slow pace, as feed millers tread prudently.
