Demand improves but fails to lift China lysine prices

Lysine prices dipped further during the week ending April 5.

Although demand improved lately as feed millers restocked depleting inventories, cautious mood curtailed the sales of lysine. As supplies of lysine remained plentiful, producers continued to cut prices amid strong competition.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine slid to RMB4.40-5/kg.
