Tighter supply, improved demand underpin China lysine prices

Lysine prices moved higher during the week ending March 30.

One major lifted price quotes while announcing its operation halt for two weeks during early April. Traders lifted prices as well, as several producers have halted production of late, hence resulting in tight availability of lysine.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were higher in the range of RMB8.30-8.60/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1617 (Mar 31)
