Higher costs, improved export demand lift China threonine prices

Export demand for threonine strengthened, lending support to the market. Meanwhile, corn prices moved higher due to the government’s supportive measures, hence lifting the expenses of threonine production.
In Europe, price quotes for products delivered in Q2 were stronger at EUR1.38-1.42/kg.
While robust export demand helps to clear stocks, threonine producers will stand firm as output costs have increased.
