Algeria tenders to purchase up to 70,000 tonnes of livestock feed corn

European traders said Algeria has issued an international tender to buy up to 70,000 tonnes of livestock feed corn, Nasdaq reported.

The corn is to be sourced from Brazil or Argentina.

The traders said that the tender's price offers must be submitted by March 21, 2023.

Two 35,000 tonne consignments of corn must be shipped. The first shipment must arrive by April 30, 2023 at the latest, and the second must arrive between May 1 and May 15.

Argentina's corn and soybeans may receive some much-needed rainfall after an unprecedented drought severely impacted crops.

Brazil's corn shipments is expected to decline in the coming months due to the increased focus on soybean shipments.
