Chinese buyers limit lysine purchase after price hike

Lysine prices moved higher during the week ending March 20.

Lysine export demand increased substantially as low prices enticed overseas buyers to place orders for the second quarter. However, domestic sales slowed as domestic buyers held back purchases after the recent round of price hikes.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were stable to higher at RMB5-5.50/kg.
