Agentis Innovations launches in-line moisture measurement and control system at VIV Asia

Agentis Innovations has launched their latest development for the feed mill industry at VIV Asia 2015, M007, an in-line moisture measurement and control system.

Control of moisture in raw materials and finished feeds is critical for profitability as well as nutritional and quality parameters.  Until now highly accurate real-time process measurement of moisture has eluded the feed industry, according to the company.

The M007 in-line microwave resonance technology developed by Agentis Innovations therefore provides real-time moisture measuring and automated process control systems in a feed mill or raw material handling and storage environment. According to the president of the company, Yiannis Chistodoulou, M007 is capable of taking up to 3,500 readings a second.

For aqua feed mills an additional functionality of M007 is that it provides real-time density measurement, an added benefit in a process where the physical properties are so critical and which if not properly managed can result in high level of rejected feed for reprocessing.

Another application for the new technology is in-line feed reformulation.  This provides the capability to not only measure in real time the moisture of a selected raw material before batching, but auto correct the batching weight in real time to adjust for the true dry matter.  The auto weight correction for moisture is completed without any delay to the batching process and the PLC provides an adjusted formulation for verification, traceability and stock reconciliation purposes.
