Chinese lysine producers cut prices amid lacklustre demand
Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending March 10.
Trade improved of late as more market participants returned from their long holidays. However, demand remained slack with hog prices sliding and soymeal prices staying low. Hence, lysine producers and traders cut prices in efforts to stimulate buying interest.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine dipped to the range of RMB8.40-8.50/kg.
Feed millers will limit procurements while livestock feed demand stays at yearly low levels.
