Tyson Foods unit wins second Cobb Mid-Atlantic regional award

The Wilkesboro breeder unit of Tyson Foods, Inc. has gained Cobb-Vantress' regional award for the Mid-Atlantic region, achieving success for the second year running for the North Carolina farm.
The award is based on total egg production / hen housed with the Cobb500 breed, with the Wilkesboro unit achieving 176.25 total eggs / hen housed. This is the best in all Tyson complexes and third best among all companies in the entire country.
Cliff Lee, Tyson Foods' breeder hatchery manager, credits his team members for this accomplishment.
"Doug Spears, Tom Hudler, Ronnie Brown, Roger Clonch and Susie Andrews work hard every day to get good results and take a lot of pride in their work," Lee said. "We communicate closely every day and work together as a team to achieve these good results."
